The Princess 78 W.J. Lip
The Princess 78 W.J. Lip is a 78ft flybridge motor yacht built by Princess Yachts in 2012 and refitted in 2024. She carries up to 20 guests by day and sleeps 8 overnight in 4 cabins, with a crew of 3 to 4, and departs from Boat Lagoon Marina. motor yachts for charter in Phuket →
She cruises at 16 knots with a top speed of 32, and carries a gyro stabiliser to steady her at anchor. There are three separate decks to spread out on: foredeck sunpads, a covered aft deck with a dining table, and a flybridge with its own helm, a lounge and sunpads under a hardtop. Inside, the saloon runs forward to a dining table and the galley.
She is the sister ship of the Princess 78 Maritimus — same model, same year and the same published rates. The charters differ in one item: W.J. Lip carries a jet ski.
Who she suits
Twenty guests by day makes her a boat for a large family group, a celebration or a corporate day out, with enough separate deck space that a group that size does not feel crowded. With 4 cabins sleeping 8, including a master, a forward VIP and a twin, she is also a genuine overnight yacht rather than a day boat with berths.
The published rate covers the first 8 guests; guests 9 to 20 are ฿3,000 each.
What’s included
Every charter aboard the Princess 78 W.J. Lip includes the captain and crew, fuel for the published engine time, seasonal fruit, snacks, drinking water, soft drinks, tea and coffee, 24 cans of beer, snorkelling equipment, a jet ski, two paddle boards, the tender, towels, national park and island fees, hotel, villa or airport transfers, the marina buggy, insurance and 7% VAT. Lunch is included on full-day charters.
Quoted separately: meals on half-day and overnight charters (overnight meals are ฿5,000 per person, per day), extra engine time at ฿20,000 per hour, and the fuel surcharge on the two longest routes.
Note: National park and island fees are included in the rate on this yacht, which is not the case on most of the fleet.
