Khai & Maiton Island Charters
A cluster of small islands off Phuket's east coast, close enough for a half day and calm enough for anyone. The Khai group, Maiton and Naka Noi are the routes we point families and first-time charter guests toward more than any other — short crossings, shallow turquoise water, and snorkelling you can do straight off the beach.
The islands
Khai Nok, Khai Nai and Khai Nui sit within minutes of each other — three small islands with white sand, clear shallow water and fish that will come to you. Easy for children and non-swimmers.
Maiton is a private island with a pristine bay and almost no crowds outside peak season. Crews will anchor close in and set up a floating platform to swim from.

Why it works for families
Short transits, sheltered water on the east coast, and beaches you can actually land on. Every vessel carries child-sized life jackets and snorkelling gear in all sizes — confirm ages and approximate weights when you book so the crew can prepare.
This is also the cheapest way into a private charter: a half-day Maiton run on Bon Voyage starts at ฿30,000, and a half-day Khai Island trip on the Ocean Pearl at ฿33,900.
Best time to go
Year-round. Because these islands sit on the sheltered east side of Phuket, they stay calm when the west coast is not, which makes them a reliable green-season choice.

Are the Khai Islands good for young children?
Yes. The Khai Islands have shallow, calm water, gentle beaches and short crossings from Phuket, which makes them the most family-friendly charter route. Child-sized life jackets and snorkelling gear are carried on every vessel.
