Renting a boat in Phuket
Every boat here is a private, whole-vessel rental with crew — you are not buying a seat on a shared trip. That means the itinerary, the departure time and the guest list are yours. Rentals run as half days, full days or overnight voyages, and the 46 vessels below range from a 28ft sport cruiser to a 150ft superyacht. The one exception is the join-in cabin charter, a six-day sailing voyage sold by the cabin.
If you are choosing between hull types, catamarans give you more deck space per foot and far less roll, while motor yachts trade some of that space for speed on the longer crossings to Phi Phi and Racha. Common questions
How much does it cost to rent a yacht in Phuket?
Rates across the fleet run from ฿20,000 a day for the 40ft Thirty-Eight up to ฿1,530,000 for the largest superyacht. Every rate is for the whole vessel rather than per person, and rates move across 3 price bands by season, with peak pricing from 20 December to 10 January.
What is included in a Phuket boat rental?
Crew, fuel, soft drinks, snorkelling equipment and insurance are included on every charter. National park fees and any optional extras are usually quoted separately and shown before you book; the vessels departing Boat Lagoon Marina include park fees in the rate.
How many guests can you take?
The fleet runs from 28ft to 150ft with capacity up to 100 guests. Smaller catamarans suit 8 to 15, the mid-range motor yachts 10 to 25, and the party catamarans take 40 to 100.
Where do charters depart from?
Charters depart from Royal Phuket Marina, Boat Lagoon Marina, Ao Po Grand Marina and Chalong Pier. The right departure point depends on where you are going — the northeast marinas are closest to Phang Nga Bay, the east coast is quicker for the southern islands.
